Crazy Christmas!

I always get excited about Christmas.  It is my favorite time of year.  I love the Christmas Music, Movies, and food.  Their is just such a different feeling this time of year.  Sadly this year although we got to see family and got some amazing gifts this Christmas was more about trying to help Lily get through sickness.  I remember being pregnant with Lily last year at Christmas and wondering what the next year would be like.  I had a lot of assumptions that were nowhere close to how things turned out.  First off for some reason, even knowing Lilly would only be 8 months old, I assumed she would actually open presents haha!  Instead she would tear a piece and then wanted to just play with the paper or then wait for us to do the rest.  The good news is she acted excited with each new toy she got and took time to play with each before opening the next.  I also never considered she might be sick because you just don't think about things like that!  Lily had a very bad cold including a fever of 102.5.  This lasted from Monday night when we opened gifts with my parents and came and went off and on until yesterday the 27th.  So needless to say she didn't do a whole lot of celebrating this year, but hopefully next year will be spectacular!  She will be 20 months old and will know more what is going on.  I see crazy paper ripping in our future.
I also always get excited when the craziness of Christmas is over and we get to look forward to a new year.  A lot of people see New Year's Resolutions are stupid but I don't see it that way.  I think they are a fun way to evaluate your past year and then plan on how you would like to improve the next year.  Josh, Lily, and I had a great 2013.  It has been our best year yet I think.  I am not much of a bragger but here is some of the best of 2013.
1. Month 4 brought us the best gift we could ever receive in Lily.  She had changed our whole world and made it that much more magical and Wonderful.  I can't wait to watch her grow and change in 2014.
2. We sold our house in Month 5.  I won't lie.. as much as I wanted to get to Van Buren, the thought of Selling our house, buying a house, moving, and taking care of a 2 month old all while your husband works crazy hours scared me to death.. but somehow we made it happen and I am so happy to be in Van Buren.
3.  Josh and I celebrated our 4 year Anniversary in Month 10.  Now some of you might be wondering what is so special about that.. but to me every day, week, month, and year him and I are able to have a happy and healthy marriage is special. I am so happy to have him in my life.
4. I haven't talked much about this because I am not one to brag about things I have.  Yes my parents have been able to give my brother and I a lot growing up, but I think the most important thing they gave me was the Knowledge that I am very lucky and that having and not having doesn't make one person better than the other, and I have never really heard them brag about what they have worked so hard to get.  That all being said I finally got the car I have had my eye on the past 2 years.  It is perfect for me.  I will admit though... I look at Lily in the backseat and find myself picturing another child back there haha... no worries that is not happening any time soon.. I think!

We had a lot of exciting and new things happen for us this year so I am kinda hoping 2014 will be a year of peaceful relaxation and great times with our little family!  Here are some things I want to do this next year.
1. I plan to start college back.  After being out of school for 8 years I am determined to go back and finish.  Not just for me but for Josh and Lily.  I am planning to start in the Fall to work on my LPN.  I only have to take 2 pre-requisite classes so that shouldn't be to bad... 2015 will the be the crazy year of nursing school haha.
2.  I want to finish decorating our house.  Yes I know we have been here 6 months, however, there are a few things I still want to do.
3.  As usual I want to finish my weight loss journey.  I started G-Fit 4 months ago and did great the first 2 months but then kinda stopped going as much in November and December.  Hopefully 2014 will be the year of a new me!
4.  I follow a blog "Shullfamily.blogspot.com" She is an amazing decorator, cooker, and mom of 2 (soon to be 3) wonderful kids.  She is such an inspiration and role model for me.  She did this wonderful thing where she literally took a picture every day of that year and then put them on her blog whenever she posted.  That is a tall order but I want to try it haha!

That is all I have for this post.  Josh is working New Year's Eve day which means he will be up at 4:30 in the morning so I doubt we will do anything to celebrate.  Especially with a little one.  You can't stay up all night when you have to be up all day the next day taking care of a baby haha.  I plan on getting up around midnight and going in Lily's room.  Call me weird or crazy but it is our first New Year together and I want to spend the last moments of this year and first moments of next year with her.. and if you ask me, that is pretty darn special!
I will post again next weekend, with some pictures. I hope all of your 2013 ends with a bang and I will see you all in 2014!

As Lily keeps growing her personality gets more and more dynamic.  She couldn't be any sweeter.  She has started giving kisses.  Lots of them, however, she is very demanding about it... she grabs your face and won't let go until she gets a kiss!  She is trying to be more independent as well as mobile.  Sitting still is not a favorite thing of hers.  She still isn't crawling yet and I am beginning to wonder if she will... she might be a straight to walking type of girl haha, I guess only time will tell.  On Friday the 20th she opened her very first Christmas Present at day care.  I'm not sure who brought it but it is an elephant that you can fit shapes into the holes.  She hasn't played with it yet but I'm sure she will love it.  She is also about to have her very first Christmas!  I am so excited to share this first with her because its a first that will become a tradition.
Well I have to be going.  She was taking a nap but I hear her in the other room babbling lol!  I hope you all have wonderful  holidays and a Happy New Year!!

Lily finally likes food!  She prefers things like sweet potatoes and chicken and rice (all pureed baby foods).  She is finally sitting really well on her own.  Hasn't started crawling yet but tries really hard!  Might be starting to cut teeth!

When you sing to her, watching Barney & Mickey Mouse Club House, ceiling fans, any toy that makes noise, and LOVES music.
Dislikes
Laying down unless she is tired.

It has been a wonderful month!  Every month I say to myself that there is no way she can get any sweeter and she always proves me wrong.  She is such a Ham and that big ole grin brings a smile to peoples faces where ever she goes.  Her little gums were very swollen at her 6 month check up and she has really been acting like they are bothering her the past few weeks so we are hoping to see some teeth soon. Can't wait to see what this new month brings!!

Picture Update!

I really need to get better about posting more often so that I don't have to do a huge update all at one like this one!  October was a very busy month for us.  On every weekend that Josh wasn't working we were out of town.  I figured instead of just writing about it I would do a picture update and let Lily tell you what all we did this past month!
Hello Everyone!  Let me take you on a journey through October and the beginning of November!

We all hung out and called those Hogs!  I spent all the games except for 1 at home with mom and dad bouncing in my Jumper and watching it on TV!   In this photo I am chilling at the office with Grandma.
Then we took off to Gore Oklahoma where we all went camping!  It was chilly and at some points pretty rainy but we all had a wonderful time trick or treating at the camp ground and cooking on the grill.   As you can see I spent most of the time lounging leisurely by the River looking at the pretty view!  First camping experience was a great success!

I got to attend my cousin Jimmy's 4th Birthday Party out at the Hackett Park.  It was very pretty there and I decided that was where I would like to have my 1st Birthday.   I got to swing in an actual swing for the first time and also got this cool hat from my great Aunt Linda who made it all by herself!

I spent a lot of weekends hanging out with my other Great Aunt Lora and Uncle Ben.  They usually visit me once a week while daddy is at work to keep mom company and of course to hang out with me!!

Grandpa Roger also tried to teach me to drive!  I could reach out and grab the wheel but my feet couldn't quite touch the peddles yet so I mostly just stared at everything and then drooled on it to mark my territory.  I can't wait until I can actually drive this thing, but for now I will have to just settle for watching cousin Kaleb do it.

I attended my first football game!  I went to watch Uncle Trey & Bryce play for the Hackett Hornets.  I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would.  My favorite part was the cheerleaders!

I had my 6 month check up at the Doctor.  I had a great time rattling the paper and looking at myself in the mirror until they gave me my shots.

At the end of the month I had my first Halloween.  Family came over to my house and I watched them eat really good food but I preferred my bottle.  I was a kitty kat and my neighbor and friend Rayley was a flower.  She came by and showed me how she could stand on her own and I thought that was pretty impressive!  I slept through most of the trick or treating, but woke up in time to hand out a few pieces of candy to some very strange looking people...
I started out November hanging out with my Grandma and Grandpa.  Mommy and Daddy went to the Auburn game with their friends the Marsh's.  I stayed home and ate some good food which I am finally starting to like, however,  formula is still #1 in this girls heart!

 The End

It has been a great past month!  I cannot believe that Lily will be 7 months old in 13 days.  I have already started making plans for her first birthday.  I am excited about that because even though her baby shower was absolutely wonderful... I didn't get to help plan hardly any of it.
A few things are happening in the upcoming weeks.  Of course Lily's first Thanksgiving ,
she has her follow up check up at Little Rock Children's Hospital for her neck.  So we are using that as an excuse to go to Hot Springs and visit her other Grandparents (Josh's mom and step dad) since Little Rock is only 45 min. away, and then the next day after Thanksgiving we are going on our Annual trip to Branson with my side of the family to get in some Christmas Shopping, go see a show, and look at all the pretty Christmas lights!
I find myself almost not being able to wait to put up Christmas decorations and pull out the Christmas CD's.  Even though Lily isn't quite big enough to be able to understand what is going on it is still exciting!   That being said I am going to wait until after Thanksgiving but I plan on getting that tree up right after we get back from Branson!

I hope you all have wonderful Thanksgiving!

6 Months!

Weight: 14 pounds and 14 Ounces
Height: 27 Inches
Clothing Size: 6 Months
Diaper Size: 2
Eating: 4-5 Ounces at a time but likes to snack.  Still working on the food, she isn't a fan of any of it lol.
Sleeping: Sleeps in crib.  Goes to bed between 9 & 10 and wakes up around 6 or 7 A.M.  Takes several naps a day.
Whats New: Can grab pacifier and put in mouth as well as transfer objects from one hand to another.  Getting very close to sitting without help and starting to try and crawl.
Likes: Anything that makes noise,  watching Curious George & Cat in the Hat.  Bath, Playing with her toys, and playing with daddy!
Dislikes:  Riding in the car after dark,  loud noises, sour baby food lol.
To think that Lily is half a year old is just crazy to me.  There are times when I am driving and I look in the rear view mirror and see Lily in her mirror and she is so busy playing with her bunny rattler and talking to herself, and looking out the car window, or when I go in her room before she wakes up in the morning and watch her stretch and roll around and it makes me want to laugh and cry all at the same time.  I am so excited about her getting older and learning new things... but at the same time I know she will never be this age again and time is flying by so fast.      There are a lot of tough moments having a baby, but I will miss her falling asleep in my arms, and that sweet little smile she gives me when she wakes up in the morning to find me standing over her.  Luckily I still have a lot more of the baby phase left.  I just wish time would slow down.

5 months old!

Weight: 14 Pounds
Clothing Size: 3-6 Months
Diaper Size: 2
Eating: 4-5 ounces of formula at a time plus baby food
Sleeping: Goes to bed by 8:30 pm and wakes up around 6:30 am waking 1 to 2 times a night
Whats New: Grabbing toys and sticking them in her mouth, Trying to sit up on her own, Bouncing in her jumper, and eating baby food!
Likes: Bouncing in her jumper, being sang to, watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Barney, being tickled by daddy, and sitting outside on the back porch swing.
Dislikes: Laying down.

I cannot believe that another month has gone by.  Time really is flying now.  Lily is growing up so fast that it just doesn't seem right.  I will say that it has been wonderful the past few weeks with Lily being able to bounce in her jumper!  It sure makes getting ready in the morning and eating super at night a lot easier.  She has finally started eating baby food too.  I am hoping this will help her put on some weight.  She is not a fan of rice or oatmeal cereal but is really starting to enjoy apples.  I am excited to see what else she likes or dislikes as we let her try new things.
As for everything else, I am so happy that fall is here.  I like it to be a bit cooler than it is now but at least it isn't has hot as it has been.  I can't wait to put out my Halloween stuff!  On October 4th-6th Lily will kinda sorta get her first experience with camping.  My mom and dad are taking the motor home and we are staying in a little cabin, however, we will be outside a lot and have camp fires and stuff so I am interested to see how she does.  I can't wait until she is big enough to actually go for real which will be a while considering by the time she does get old enough to enjoy it we will be having another baby lol.  I will make sure and post after the camping trip with how it went and photos.  Have a great week everyone!

To endings and New beginnings!

I can't believe I am saying this already, but I'm done with my first round of G-Fit!  I'm not going to lie... that first day was a boot camp day and I left thinking.. what the heck... I'm never going back, however, I went back every day and after the first week I started to kinda like it and by the end I had fallen in love with it.  I haven't had my final weigh in yet but I know I did pretty good.  I am already signed up for the next round, and can't wait to see what my future holds now that I found a work out program and diet that I like. Also in other things that are ending Josh is now done with night shift for a few months.  Thank Goodness!  Don't get me wrong, the nights he is home while on night shift are wonderful, we get to hang out and then I get to sleep all night and he takes care of Lily when she wakes up since he is awake anyway resulting in a full nights sleep for me.  But the odd schedule stinks, and we don't get to spend very much time together as a family.  Luckily they switch back and forth so we get the best of both worlds (yes I did sing that last line Hannah Montana style lol).   Another great thing about day shift is that Josh and I can eat lunch together while Lily is at daycare so it will give us some much needed us time.
We got some us time last night!  Ashton and Wes babysat Lily for us and we went out to eat and to a movie.  We had fun but I do notice that going out, even without Lily, is still different from before Lily came along.  Mostly that staying out until almost Midnight is such a blast when you know when you get home that chances are you will have to wake up in a few hours lol.  Regardless it was a great time and the next one a few weeks from now should be better because I am doing G-Fit earlier next round.  They have started a 4:30-5:30 pm class instead of me having to go to a 6-7 pm.  That is great considering Football season is upon us and Josh's brothers play football on Friday nights and it starts at 7.
Not a lot else has happened this month.  Lily finally had her 4 month check up at 4 and a half months old, got her shots.  She is in the 85 percentile for height and the 15 percentile for weight.  The doctor said everything looks good and we get to start her on food so be looking for pictures of that.  Plus in a little over a week she will be 5 months old so we will have an update there.   That being said I have nothing else for ya!  Hope you have a great weekend!

16 weeks!

Wow it has been a long 3 weeks!  When I originally started this blog I fully intended to update it once a week, and I haven't been doing very well on that so far so I am going to try and get better.  In my defense Lily is just not getting to where she will let me put her down for a few minutes.  I would do it at work but for some reason the blogger website won't work at the office so I have to find time at home.
That all being said I cannot believe we are quickly approaching her 4 month bday.  I am telling you... after she hit 2 months it seems like time is just flying by.  Part of me wants it to slow down but the other part of me is excited with all of the new stuff that Lily is learning and picking up on and makes me ready for each new day.  It has been a rough few weeks though.  Long story short I got sick 2 weeks ago (upper respiratory infection, double ear infection, and strep).  I had it for a week and just when I was getting over it and felt lucky Lily hadn't caught it... she caught the strep part.  That was the most heart breaking 3 days.  She wouldn't even eat!  Luckily after getting a shot and being on antibiotics for a few days she went back to normal and started feeling better.  The only bad part is 2 days after she finally started to feel better I wound up back in the hospital with strep again.  The good part is Lily has to remain on her medicine for 10 days so I think her still taking that helped protect her from getting it back again from me!
She is such a little sweetheart and joy in our lives.  Her personality is becoming more and more present every day.  She smiles most of the time except for when she gets really tired in the evening and I have even heard a few giggles.  She is starting to really study things as well.  She will look at something for 20 minutes straight and fling her arm out to touch it.  And she is really starting to study people and know who is who.  I can definitely tell that she knows her momma and daddy.  Her smile can light up the entire room when either of us walks into her line of sight and I cannot tell you how special that makes me feel!  I know all babies are that way with their parents but still... you can be having the worst day and her smile just wipes everything away.  She is 16 weeks old as of yesterday, once again some would consider that 4 months old however I am going by the 20th of each month which doesn't until a week and a few days from now.
Other than her Josh and I are doing really well.  He has every other weekend off from work we try to have a date night every 2 weeks or at least invite friends over to hang out after she has gone to bed.  2 weeks ago we went and ate pizza and went bowling on Friday with some friends and then that Sunday after she fell asleep Lora and Ben babysat her and we went to a movie.  Then we worked the next weekend but this weekend we had my nephew Tony's bday part yesterday, and then Wes and Ashton came over and we played cards all night.  Things really feel like they are starting to go back to normal... or the new version of normal and that is nice.  Lily is finally old enough that we can take her to get togethers and she has a good time.  I start Gfit with Ashton tomorrow.  I am very excited and nervous for that but its been a long time coming.  All of the women that work at the office is actually doing it, however, Ashton and I are doing it at the same location and time so be looking for updates on that!  Last but not least I would like to say how proud I am of Josh.  He got of his year probation at the police department last week!  It is hard to believe it has already been a year!  Speaking of year anniversary's... it will have been a year on Tuesday since I found out I was pregnant... wow.
I hope all of you have a wonderful week!  I will try my best to post next weekend if I find a nice quiet moment to do so!  But for now a few Lily photos!

Happy baby in the morning!  15 weeks

On the way to Day Care

                                                                  Finally feeling better!

Hanging out with papa in the morning - 16 weeks!

We're Done! (Almost)

I haven't been able to post in the past month because we have been so busy.   I am proud to now say that we are pretty much done.  The only thing we have left is unpacking lol.  I know what you are probably thinking.. you have been there 2 months and your still not unpacked?  I would be saying the same thing to myself if I wasn't me.  I never realized how hard it would be to get things done when you have an infant.  She is not at the stage where she can entertain herself and she still very much likes to be held and played with.  So between my job and taking care of her in the evenings, and Josh's crazy schedule we haven't really had a lot of hands free down time.  We do have all of the essentials unpacked though and slowly day by day we have started going through boxes. Anyway on to the positive.  I wouldn't say everything went well during the move... lots of things went wrong, but in the end everything worked itself out and that is what matters.
Most importantly, Lily's appt. at Arkansas Children's Hospital went well.  Few or a lot of you may know that my young cousin Travis fought the good fight with cancer but ultimately lost his battle in that very hospital... so to even have to step foot in there with my 2 months old and the possibility that someone as young and sweet as her could have something so big wrong with her was sickening and heartbreaking.  It turns out that they think she might have torn a muscle in her neck during the delivery because the lump on her neck is scar tissue.  All we have to do is take her to physical therapy.  Right now she has had 2 sessions, one last week and one this week.  They are gonna let us do it on our own for the next two weeks now that we know how to stretch her and if it doesn't improve they want her to start coming anywhere from 3 times a week to every day.  Hopefully we will be able to work it out by ourselves though.
Other than that Lily is 14 weeks old!!  Some may take that as 3 months and half months.  It depends how you look at it and I myself go back and forth with it. I have decided to go by the date because ultimately when talking in years you do go by the date.  If I went by weeks than she would be 12 months (one year old) on March 22nd lol and she wasn't born until April 20.  We took our first longer trip with her when we had to go to ACH.  Josh's mom lives in Hot Springs which is only about an hour out from Little Rock, we hadn't seen them in a good long while and we hated to make Lily ride in the car seat (which she hates) for 3 hours, sit at the hospital all day, and then ride 3 hours home.  That just makes for one long day.  So we went up to Hot Springs the day before after Josh got off work, only had an hour to drive the next day, had her appointment and then decided drive back to Hot Springs that evening and stay one more night, and then came home the next morning.  She did very well!  Slept most of the drive on all of the drives.   Then she had her first big Holiday which was 4th of July.  We spent the day over at my parents house swimming, visiting, and eating.  After that we went to our new neighbors house (a co-worker and friend of Josh's at the police station) ate and later that evening shot off fireworks.  The great thing is they live right across the street and even better they have a 6 month old girl so I see some fun play dates in Lily's future!  Laura and I decided to test the water with girls and covered their ears while some people shot off fireworks, I'm not sure if Lily liked it but she didn't dislike it.  She stared up in the sky with amazement.  Both the girls did so good.  I would say it was a fun and successful first 4th for her and us.
We also have made some new friends through Josh's job named Wes and Ashton that I am so grateful for.  They are wonderful to hang out with and we have so much fun with them.  At our age if you aren't into partying and bar hopping it can be really hard to find people to hang with, especially ones that don't mind if you have a baby.  Luckily him and Josh work the same shift so some of the nights they work Ashton comes over and hangs out and that makes the night go by faster!!
Speaking of grateful, I have a few people I would like to thank.   Lora and Ben who I have to thank for coming over once a week on the weekends while Josh works to visit with Lily and keep me company. Lora has always been right there with me and I know I can count on her for anything and now I also have her wonderful husband Ben who just like her is always here and ready to help or hang out.  As well as I really would love to thank my parents.  They have been so wonderful my whole life but especially in times like these when I really need them.   They are truly the type of parents anyone could hope they could have.  They have helped with the move, and with Lily, and allowed me to come and go from the office when I needed to for Lily's Doctor appointments and other things involving her and I.  I really am blessed to have them.
All of that being said I really don't have much else to talk about at the moment.  I start G-Fit (a work out program) in a couple of weeks so I will be updating not only about Lily but my progress on that as well.  As well as a few weeks ago I had Lily's 3 moth pictures taken so I should be getting those back any day now so be watching for those.   I am also going to post her 3 month picture and all of her new stuff in a day or two so be watching for that!   Have a wonderful week!

This has been one of the most stressful months that I can remember in a long time.  Between selling the house, buying one, packing, and taking care of Lily I feel as though my head is about to explode.  Mainly because she was sick for an entire week (like projectile vomit sick and couldn't go to daycare) which she gave to both Josh and I.  So needless to say we have not been able to get pretty much anything done.  She went in for her two month check up last Thursday "June 20th" but had lost so much weight they were not able to give her the 2 month shots.  I had to take her in the next day (Friday June 21st) for them to do an X-Ray of her stomach while she ate to make sure it wasn't more than just a stomach bug.  Luckily by that time she hadn't thrown up in over 24 hours so I was already pretty sure she was just sick.  She also still has the swollen Lymph Node on her neck and it is still decent size, it does shrink from time to time but always goes back.  They ran blood tests on her two Fridays ago and all of that came back good so that is a positive, however, just to be safe they are going to go ahead and contact childrens hospital and see if they think we need to go ahead and get it tested just to be 100% sure its nothing bad.  Also because of having the swollen lymph node since she was born she has always tilted her head covering it as if to protect it.  Well that has caused that muscle to tighten up and now she heavely favors that side so she is going to have to start Physical Therapy this week to help stretch that out.  All of this and we have to be out of our house on Friday to move into our new one!  Whew... I cannot wait for this week to be done.  The good news is it seems that Lily is past the fussy newborn stage and her personality is really starting to come out.  She is happy and grins a lot most of the time and her schedule is starting to become more predictable.
Josh and I were supposed to be having date nights every other weekend when he isn't working and that has went out the window the past month, however, starting back this Saturday since we will be moved and Lily is healthy we get to go out.  We are going to some friends of ours Wes and Ashton's wedding, so we are very excited for that and for them!  I am so excited for us to get some "US" time.  I always love our time with Lily but I miss being with him lol. Hopefully the next time I post things will have settled down a bit!  Until then here is my our sweet Lily Posing for her 2 month pic!!!!

2 weeks 1 post!!

Oh wow we have been busy!!! I promise I have a good reason for not posting,  and that is..... we finally sold our house!!!  We sold it 2 Fridays ago.   We are so excited, but at the same time so stressed!  I am telling you... selling a house, buying a house (for sale by owner so we are not using a Realtor which means we are doing everything on our own) and taking care of a 2 month old is tough work.   We have until the end of the month to be out and have only packed one room. We love Greenwood, however, we both work in Van Buren, so needless to say we spend about $700 a month on gas.  It will be so nice to be close to work finally.  We found a wonderful house in Van Buren that is everything we could possibly want so that is wonderful as well.  I will keep you updated on the move when I have time to update!
Other than we have a few updates.  Lily had her first Holiday which was Memorial Day.  Lily and I spent the day over at my parents house just hanging out, then some more family came over around 4 to eat and swim and Josh (who had to work that day) joined us at 6:00 p.m. for some more eating and swimming.  Of course Lily just slept right through the whole thing!
Today she officially had her first day of Day Care.  I had to go back to work so she started at GO Kids Academy in Alma.  It is at a church and it is absolutely wonderful.  I cried a little but I knew she was in such great hands and Josh and I had so much we had to accomplish today on moving (the inspector looked at our new house, so did the termite people, had to get our stuff in to the loan lady, switched from regions bank to Arvest since they don't have a regions in VB).  She apparently did great.  I just can't believe how big she is getting so fast.  She goes in not this coming Thursday but the next Thursday for her 2 month check up, and hopefully everything will be good.  I don't have much more to tell ya than that.  This coming Saturday I will post Lily's 2 month picture and update on all of her new stuff but for now I will leave you with some pictures from the past 2 weeks.  Enjoy!

Long week!

This week has been a rather long week!  Last week we found a knot on the side of Lily's neck.  It was pretty big.  We took her to the Doctor last Friday and she thought it was a muscle in her neck that had tightened up, and if that was the case we would need to do physical therapy to loosen it up, however, she wanted to do an ultrasound just to make sure.  So she scheduled us an ultrasound for Tuesday of the past week.  Lily did great at the ultrasound.. even though I was having to pull her should and head apart she never cried.. just wiggled around a lot.  After the radiologist looked at the picture he came and and said that it was a bunch of small swollen Lymph Nodes.  He said this is usually caused by an infection (such as a cold).  So he called her pediatrician who called us in some medicine and which is really strong.  Sadly it is giving poor Lily the runs which in turn is causing her to have severe diaper rash no matter how much we change her or put ointment on her.  She is handling it pretty well but gets a little more upset than she normally does.  Luckily, the bump is going down and she only has 5 more days to be on the medicine.
Other than that everything is going really good.  I am so trying to live in the moment but seeing everyone's pictures of being out on the lake and camping this week makes me long for the days that she is a little older and we can take her to do that, however, I know time flies by so I am trying to enjoy where we are right now.  On a happy note Lily she slept from 11:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. this morning, woke up and drank a few ounces, went back to sleep at 5:30 a.m. and slept until 8:30!!!  She has always been pretty good about sleeping but hopefully this will be a new thing.  It is so hard believe that she is 5 weeks old today.    Time really does go by fast!  Nothing really new or exciting going on the upcoming week but I will let you know if anything of interest winds up happening lol.  Hope you all have a fun and safe memorial day weekend and a great upcoming week!

I know everyone says this, but I really can't believe it has been a month.  The first 2 weeks are still a blur.  I was really lucky that Josh got 3 weeks off and we both took turns.  The second two weeks everything seemed like it fell into place and I feel more confident.  Check back in a few days because I plan on doing  a picture update of the delivery and first few weeks at home!  I'm not sure how often I will update but I will at least do it once a month and update what is up with Miss Lily.  Here is her one month pic!
